Cutthroat Peak from the Heather Pass Trail

This is another photo from our October hike on the Maple Pass loop. We soon found the hiking difficult as the result of early snow which grew deeper as we gained elevation until finally near the top of the pass we gave it up. This was taken from a lower elevation and looks north across Rainy Pass to Cutthroat Peak.
