Mount Rainier and Nisqually Glacier

Here you can see how the previous photo of Nisqually Glacier fits into the whole scene. Nisqually Glacier is one of thirty-three named glaciers on Rainier and is the source of the Nisqually River. It begins on the upper slopes of Rainier, but the lower end is covered in rock and debris. One other note: when we were at Nisqually Vista, from which this picture was taken, there was a party of climbers crossing the level area at the right side of the picture. They could only be seen with binoculars, however.
