Ceanothus
My son Edward and I went to Whidbey Island last Friday to take photos of several native orchids that are in bloom there. Along the way we saw this enormous Ceanothus shrub in full bloom planted along a fenceline with a huge bed of Red-hot Pokers. We stopped to take photos and ended up talking with the ladies who owned the place.
