Brownie Lady's Slipper (Cypripedium fasciculatum)

Also known as the Clustered Lady's Slipper, this tiny orchid is very rare and very hard to find. The plants grow only 5-10 inches tall and the flowers are about an inch in size.
These were photographed on an excursion with the Washington Native Orchid Society. We had hoped to find the Mountain Lady's Slipper and the Phantom Orchid in bloom, but neither was in bloom yet.
