Female Black Bear and Cub

Female Black Bear and Cub
Photographed in Mount Robson Provincial Park, British Columbia, along the Yellowhead Highway during our recent trip to Edmonton. The American Black Bear, Ursus americanus, ranges over the whole of the North American continent. More information about our trip can be found at the following blog: ronaldhanko-orchidhunter.blogspot.com/2010/07/british-col....

Awesome picture, Ron...when Steve and I were heading back from a day up around Port Hardy, on Vancouver Island, we saw a Black Bear on the side of the road!! We didn't want to slow down because it was a heavily trafficked road but both of us were all a-gog!! A BEAR!! A BEAR!! The last time we'd seen one was in Yosemite...and we weren't happy about it...Steve was wearing our birdy backpack with Pumpkin in it and omg, he saw the bear, started booking towards me and said, "GO...FAST...don't run, but get going..there's a bear in the bushes!" YOIKS!!! Thankfully it didn't follow us...*pant pant*

Re: your comments...hee hee...I just love that you changed your mind on your favorite shot! :D I am really happy with the main picture that you've decided now to be your favorite--esp because I only got the one picture and it turned out perfectly! :) Gotta love those!

Re: tomatoes and non-keto. Well, the fact of the matter is, a little is ok. It's just that you can't pork out on some things. We love 'maters, but we just don't go crazy with them, you know? :)

I have to say, you describing yolk running down the plate...*green face* EWWWWW!!! You and Steve should get married, that's all I'll say on the subject. :D

MMMM, the lemon bars that Nancy made sound so lovely! I'm just glad that there are nice substitutes for the majority of things for keto..we love using extracts too...hey, do you know about Olive Nation? An entire universe of extracts...we love them! www.olivenation.com/extracts-flavorings/extracts.html

Oh, and another thing. Do you like pickles? I'm not a huge fiend but Steve brought home a jar of these pickle chips and omg they are so good!!!! WAY TOO MUCH SUGAR for keto so can't have more than a single chip or two but if you like spicy...this is something you simply GOTTA TRY!!! Their byline is "Straight from Hell's Kitchen" and they aren't kidding! LOL I can eat about two chips before my head wants to explode! :D :D

Steve can't handle the heat of those chips (what a baby! :D) so he found a jar of (lame ass) Spicy Pickle Spears (for babies): famousbbq.com/products/pickles/product/52-signature-spicy-pickle-spears

:D :D I'm horrible! :D But do try them out if you have any interest in pickles...they are simply AWESOME!!

I'm really sorry to hear that you burned your hand, but really happy to hear that your solution was so successful. That's great. A nice resolution to a potentially horrible outcome. :)

Ok, I'm outy! You two have a great night! :)
