Dendrobium Gina Perlite 'Crystal White'

This hybrid, very similar in form to one of its parents, is a hybrid of Dendrobium prasinum and Dendrobium cuthbertsonii. The flowers are much larger than the flowers of either parent, but not the "crystal white" that the clonal name suggests. The color in the photo is accurate. One parent is a high altitude species from New Guinea and the other a warmer growing species from Fiji, but the plant seems to prefer cool temperatures and good humidity. The plant is named for the wife of the gentleman who made the hybrid, one of the best growers around, and it was from him that I obtained the plant.
