I like to sit here and enjoy the night

Seventeen is good. My cat is sixteen. He brought me a rabbit the other day, a great big one, must have dragged it through the cat flap, up the stairs and laid it to rest on the floor of my study. I nearly jumped out of my skin. He just looked at me with love in his eyes, or contempt, I'm never quite sure...

Aaaaaarrgh! I hate that! A rabbit, that is huge prey for a cat. It's not funny, I always yell at mine, "get out of here, take that away" and so on, as if he understands English and would follow my instructions. The worst thing so far that Jambo has brought in: two BATS, several months apart, only 1/2 dead. I considered just moving out and telling my son to burn everything.

... yah, cats and their gifts brought inside: chipmunks (bleeding and still mobile) and an on-going parade of baby black rat snakes too ... and usually when I'm over an hour away at work, and wife has to solve the problem (which is no fun for anybody later) ...

Argh! They're awful little beasts! I prefer the victims to be at least completely dead. I am not interested in chasing things around all night, or setting traps, etc. My previous cat was even worse, she was a little on the feralish side. She terrorized me for years!
