They do look quite terrifying, at least to me! I don't imagine the farmers are terrified, but probably take precautions against being charged. I was very happy to have a fence between us! Thank you for the comment, Ring.

I wondered about that, too. I think it's the base of his tail. Looks like a Hershey's Kiss!
I was around my grandfather's cattle a few times on the range, riding with him in his truck or tractor. He always warned us to watch out for the bull if we got out to walk around.
