Im südlichen Eckpavillon des Empfangsgebäudes des Schweriner Hauptbahnhofs befindet sich das Fürstenzimmer ( de.wikipedia.org/wiki/F%C3%BCrstenbahnhof ). Hier begann und beendete der Großherzog seine Bahnreisen oder empfing und verabschiedete hohen Besuch.

Seit dem 27. Juli 2024 gehört das Bahnhofsgebäude als Teil des Residenzensembles Schwerin zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe.

Ich kam bisher nur einmal hinein, an einem Tag des offenen Denkmals. Da war es voller Leute. Ich habe die Decke fotografiert. Mehr ist aber auch ohnehin nicht von der originalen Ausstattung erhalten. Ich werde das Foto im Laufe des Tages als PiP einfügen.
