Exploring the Dark Peak.

A hike around Mam Tor gives us an impression of the heights here. We were ourselves on that crowded hill only last year.
The Peak District of Derbyshire is subdivided into three sections:
Dark Peak: Located in the north, east, and west of the district. Dominated by gritstone moorland, creating a rugged landscape. Includes areas like Kinder Scout, the highest point in the Peak District.
White Peak: Located in the central and southern areas of the district. Characterized by limestone, with rolling valleys, deep gorges, and sparkling rivers. Includes areas like Dovedale and Monsal Head.
South West Peak: Rolling hills and farmland
Enjoy the day.
