Marseilles: fish market
A day in this heady city brings us down to the giant marina with this fish market. It is not necessarily a happy chore preparing and trying to sell fish here, but the family must live and we know the French just love there fresh foods.
The pips shows more stalls from the same market.

A good series and it looks like a big market. We used to have a van come round from Lyme Bay. It was good to have such fresh fish, but since 2019, I haven't seen him.

It was pretty big and I imagine might be a lot bigger on certain days. The fish markets and vans here used to be pretty numerous and popular but the likes of Tesco have put paid to much of that.

A superb candid market scene image Herb..............you've caught the stall holders perfectly together with their rather impressive catch on the table.

Two more cracking shots in the PiPs......the market is obviously popular and they seemed to be doing a roaring trade. Lots in these two to look at end enjoy.

Yes, the real feeling here including the look from somebody really wanting a buy not a photo. Glad you liked the PiPs too. I could have used either for the main shot of course. They were quite busy.
