Point of Ayr Lighthouse

This is Wales oldest lighthouse. Taken on the beach at Talacre, North Wales. This taken some years back now whilst it still looked in good condition. Today? the paintwork has all peeled and it looks a sorry sight. Established in 1776 and discontinued in 1883.

I visited this beach and took a shot of the lighthouse in 2011 and again in 2012. By then the stones had all been scattered by the waves and the paintwork was faded and badly peeling, such a shame. I wonder what it's like nowadays?
Herb Riddle club has replied to Keith Burton clubSadly, my research at the latest photos shows those with badly peeled paintwork and looking sad.
Keep safe. Herb
Keith Burton club has replied to Herb Riddle clubEveryone seems to be chasing more megapixels and better picture quality........including me, but in all honesty we seemed to be managing perfectly well with our old digital cameras. Changing expectations I suppose!
