This is Wales oldest lighthouse. Taken on the beach at Talacre, North Wales. This taken some years back now whilst it still looked in good condition. Today? the paintwork has all peeled and it looks a sorry sight. Established in 1776 and discontinued in 1883. Enjoy full screen.

We are looking west on a winters day in 2006 after a walk along the Wharfdale valley in the Yorkshire Dales, dropping down to the village of Linton. Enjoy this oldie seen at the South Devon Railway station at Buckfastleigh taken some twelve years back. See here the GWR 5542, a Collet 4500 Class 2-6-2T (Tank Engine) that was built at Swindon in 1928 to a design by Churchward. If it looks rather unusual, that’s because another steam engine is just poking its nose out in front of this too. I think you will agree, a rather enjoyable shot of fences even without the engine.
