Classic Honfleur

The classic view of Honfleur and its magnificent inner harbour. I have visited many seaside villages and towns like this but I must admit to this being possibly the best one for reflections such as this. I think you will agree with me, a perfect place for a walk, something to eat and some beautiful photos. The bright outside cafe awnings make a fitting contribution to this old town.

So easy to do that George. The rest of the town was just as appealing. Too many photos taken than to post all here. We ended up having lunch at one of these cafe's with a glass of wine to go with it. Nothing sweeter than that....with camera to hand...

Yes the reflections are fabulous. You remind me that I have some slides that my father took from this town in the 1960's. All the PiP's are excellent too. I particularly like the b&w one...Rosa.

Great to see you again Rosa. It is always good when I find that my photos have jarred a distant memory. Lots of Honfleur would still be very recognisable to your father. Good that you enjoy the PiPs here which are simply links to the photos on other pages. The mono one works well with that particular quarter of this rectangular port pointing to the spot from where I took this.

Thanks Christiane, as you say the perfect view of this place. Earlier in the week we had visited twice before and seen cards etc with this view, but we did not see it like that. On this last day of our trip the conditions were perfect but even so, some minutes later these reflections started to disappear. ~Herb
