Grinton Moor wildlife

Grinton Moor wildlife
A carpet of purple which for me is a real pleasure to roam though. Taken on the moor above the tiny Swaledale village of Grinton near Reeth in the Yorkshire Dales. The sheep is actually a 'Swaledale' well know for their ruggedness and found throughout the mountains and moorland of Britain. No doubt on its way to join its close-by friends and relatives.

Good to see you again Peter. I think you are right about the composition. There is something about sheep wandering around in field and mountain that I have always found attractive. Maybe its there quite contentment and lack of aggression. Of course, Welsh sheep are special too, especially their lambs! Saw some brown spotted sheep the other day!
Best wishes, Herb
