After having completed its run from Fort William it now rest awhile before returning. This route is known for being one of the most scenic train trips in the world.

A trip I intend to take one of these years Herb. Last time I was at Fort William it was bucketing down and only a diesel train waiting to make the journey so we gave it a miss. Nice shot by you of course :~)

Ah Nick, most of my trips through Fort William has exactly the same weather but we were lucky staying for a week just below there at Onich which I intend to share on here shortly too. This one is a pure holiday snap but shows the train front up well. There were many diesels on here too, nowhere near as exciting but from within, the scenery and viaduct would be just as good.
