Last Light Bow.

The very last of the Sundown light can be see on the left hand end. The other two where together setting up by the time I had finished my First Bow. On my way around I noted 5 police/ambulance on the the high way all in the same place at what looked like the entrance to the turn off the red and blue light the right side. we all guessed an accident but we saw no evidence of any thing when we went home after 11. They where there a very long time.
This was also shot with the Clear night filter I kept some of the Blue in the shot.

The day after my father passed away I had organised weeks before to go out and shoot the last of the Milky way. I did not tell the other two of what happened with my father till we where well on the way. I told them I wanted to go out and enjoy the night and for a few hours Forget of my father Passing and enjoy something he enjoyed.
This photo is for my father.
This is one of those Two ups the ground is exposed for 5 min untracked and the sky was 3min exposure with the tracker turned on. Then the long blend in Photoshop to make the two one.
this was a night to show the other two how to set up a tracker and take the photo.

This was a target I first did in 2019 even just this target on its own with the 300mm prime lens and converter. As the moon came up later I wanted to use the dark moomless time to get some detail especially the coloured stars that are associated with this target. what is staggering is the halo look is a multitude of very very small stars that ring the globular target on my computer i can enlarge the shot to see them, uncountable..........
QHY183C -10c 286 shot 2 min over two nights( second night was only up to moon rise).

I was taken by this very simple but very much a true statement. this sums up how we all feel about Covid 19. As Australia get up in to the high 70% vacination we are starting to open up and live with Covid 19.

I got here no tripod so I had to invent a tripod, the top hand rail. the art exhibition was by local artist.
The Before and the Now- 3 1/2 years forward

For those interested this was shot that was never thought of. I had to put together my old tracking mount so I can show two others how to set up and take photos of the Milky Way tracked. I had this in the kids room waiting for next Friday but we where asked could we mind the kids for the night. I had to move it out of the way so put in in my study with the rest.
I could not pass the shot by for the amusement it caused me to see the two together. 3 1/2 years has come a very long way. the humble beginnings.

Almost a year ago Almost to the day My first ever photo with a dedicated astro camera was taken. it was not without the huge effort of Carlos Taylor to tame the Computer and all the programs. NGC253 a year apart and a different camera(1520mm POV) but same scope and target. to look back is to see just how far you have come is a good thing you see just how more rewarding this type of photos are. I am happy that I have been able to do the target and effort of Carlos Taylor and more than a few others out there giving support, some justice. never in my wildest dream thought I would be able to produce an image like this. this was the level I always wanted to shot astro photos from the start.
For those wondering like myself just why the different orientation between the two shot this I started early the first was started very late after fixing the computer.
QHY183C -10c 136 shot 10 min over three nights( one of those set on auto when i was out shooting the milky way well away from home) night 4 is burn off smoke and clouds so I post some 22 hours of shot time.

Back lit leaves on Red Flame Bougainvillea
|
|
|
|
I was pruning the plant and walked around the back and was so taken with the sun lit leaves. was well worth a photo this is the main stock plant that use to cover a huge fence. We changed our minds so thought rather than totally ditch the plant in the bin.... what if. here it is nearly 5 years on.
www.bhg.com/gardening/plant-dictionary/vine/bougainvillea
What many people think of as the blooms of bougainvillea aren't actually blooms at all. The showy paper-like structures are a modified leaf called a bract. These bracts hide the actual flowers inside, which are small and trumpet-shaped in whites and yellows. The showy bracts are typically found on new growth, with the showiest display following their winter dormancy. Normally, you'll see the best blooms following a dry winter. If you're using bougainvillea as an indoor houseplant, keep the plants mostly dry during winter.

The second time lucky and how Lucky. This was the second go at this and it worked out very well. the great foreground and Subjects David and Carl working away with out even know thing shot was being taken.
to the Right a Meteor just above the bow I thought I missed, to middle you can see the phosphorescence in the waves the far right you can see the lights of Perth.
this is 1 1/2 trip up and a bit longer home slower because of the Roo's and Emus. I got home at 1 am checked the mount was still working then crashed in to the bed.
a worth while night worth a second visit.
