Running Chicken IC2944

Running Chicken IC2944
This was a trial for Focus I noted each time I cleaned the focus track of the focus got better. I cleaned just before I started. HFR was 1.4 -1.6 all night long. Looks like its a worth while routine.

Even this close No chicken but you can see the Dark spots in the Huge nebula.

Taken with ZWO CMOS camera 56 Files 10 min files Sadly I can not shoot a second night as we are going away early in the morning. Shot With

ZWO ASI071MC Pro @ -10c

ZWO AEF,

Optolong LeNhance filter,

Skywatcher Black DiamondED80 OTA

Skywatcher EQM35Goto

Sequence Genorator Pro

Guided PHD2,

Stacked DSS. Processed PixinSight , PS and Lr.

PIP DSLR version with about the same amount of moon light and shorter Focal lenght.

Another great capture to join your increasingly large series here Steve. As you said, a lot of work but the results tell.

Keep safe. Herb

This is the start as there is a lot rising it only depends on the amount of clouds that I get in the El Nina year. the end result of a lot of trial and error along the way but its all made worth it when you see an image like this on screen my desire to get two full nights was foiled by traveling to MR for three days oh well next year as its too high to get a full nights shooting.

Thanks for pointing me to this, Steve. Yes, I see the 'Running Chicken' now - but I do have to be impressed by the imagination of the people who name these things! :-)

Quite apart from the 'names' issue, great work getting this image.

George I constantly wonder at the people who named these I know I have a great imagination in most cases called way out. If it had not been starless I would never seen it I would still be thinking I need to drink more wine to see it. Has been a great learning Experience one I know taxed me to the limit as a non computer person but enjoying the hard work not loss of hair from stress. Or is that just old age....
