Running Chicken Nebula IC2944
Even now I still can not see any chicken or why it was called so. Part of the Milky way and Just below the very large Carina Nebula at the moment Just rising in the Southern Skies. Read the link below and look at the second photo you can see the same Chicken shape.

This as 3 night shooting 119 shots 10Min Subs just short of 20hours . the sad part is a lot of this is moon efected. But much better than my first try at this strange nebula.

Thanks Herb sadly more moon effected than not, certainly better than the very first attempt other than colour there is not much detail. Still keep trying.

Always got me the name and the nebula neither seem to match, I will get closer with the CCD and get a bit more detail out of the larger Nebula. many thanks

Great images, but I sometimes think I wouldn't mind trying a little of whatever the people who named some astro features were drinking!

You know I know its way stronger than what I have. I am this moment trying this out with the astro camera about same sort of moon. will be very interesting to see just how it fares.
