I was deleting shots on my phone when I found this. I took this first night I actually found the octans for the first time on the laptop. This is one of the steps that you have to go though to line up First its find the stars that make the 4 Octans in the like dish.
gives you some idea just what you see so far it has not let me down I have found them first time each time . It requires 10 steps that need doing none of it hard but plenty fiddly like moving the head about to line up to the projected south up or down or side to side.
my set up has not changed but one thing I noted when I deconstructed my first night. If I was at latitude 32.1 the correcting to South added 0.6 to it so it was at 32.7. going forward I have added this first up and found them bang in the middle of the screen.
In all takes me from start to finish 10min to run through and line up. recommend it 100% percent as a good investment.
more info see info on the PIP photo.
