Wild Birds in the heat are hard to find reminds me of the saying... Only mad dogs and English men go out in the mid day sun.

The only bird I saw plenty of foot prints in the sand not mush about in the sun. glad you like it.

A great catch. Hope this little bird can still find honey in our dry world. If it is too dry for flowers then no bees, no honey. I imagine this bird would follow the bees to the best place.

Keep on in there Steve -despite the heat!

The good new they are not total honey eaters also live on insects as well but they do like the nectar of the flowers. It was about this time I had to look after the lost ones so my photos came to an end.

Well taken, Steve. Yes, Aussie summers certainly give proof to the old saying. :-)

Hi Steve

always nice to get such good photos of wild birds, especially the rare ones.

I have trouble getting photos of our common garden birds!

Best Wishes, and a good weekend

Its harder in the heat of the day when I was here. I tend to go out early sunrise or sunset when they are more active here I had no choice. Birds you need to have a lens 400-600mm on your format DX 300mm - 400mm. not a bad lens for DX is the 70-300mm

Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G DX VR AF-P

Some thing to think on any way.
