Old Friend revisited

Old Friend revisited
My first ever Astro photo was this rock still is a great place to bring beginners.More of an Over view of this rock and a way to hide the ever growing pollution of graffiti on the rock.

Sylvain Wiart, Sami Serola (inactive), , Amelia and 6 other people have particularly liked this photo

These rocks seem timeless, Stave. I love the quality of colour and of course the night sky. I really ought to learn how to do this sort of photography. A beautiful shot, and even better than the one that you posted 2 years ago. The grouping of the rocks is perfect.

Gudrun i look at this and the very first astro photo i took ... have i learnt , have i moved forward and can i improve. it was a great shoot i did not get much time as i was doing the star trail but i was able to lay on my back looking up at the stars and enjoying the experience to help some one else learn and look at the same sky with a new wonder. its always a pleasure to bring the night alive and some thing i enjoy and look forward to. thanks from me its always a pleaseure to read your comments makes the capture even more worth while getting out and coming home with the results.

you hit the nail on the head and to think that some person with no respect can ruin it for others. Amelia it is truly not hard just some thought of what you want to do and know your gear and there limits. I think the two years of learning does show and to get the same on another camera that has never been out before is a big plus for me and with a huge language barrier (Chinese) makes this shoot even better. many thanks from me if you ever want some help at the moment you know where i am. Many thanks some thing learnt through time a small AA torch to light paint gets the right degree of lighting its that simple. there is even the car lights on the trees in the background on the road to add to the effect. glad you like it certainly a fav spot of mine.
