We loose Orion very fast from our skies so this is next months target . This was shot first night out with the tracker but it sits over the city light plume. next month this is due east out of city lights so I want to try my 150-600 lens. Remember past the equator it is no longer Orion but the "Pot" as its up side down. 200mm lens. From top to bottom Orion Nebula Top Running Man Nebula Horse head nebula my personal fav. Flame nebula At the bottom. I hope I can get a still night no wind to bring these to life I am following Ko here. I only wish I lived in the northern hemisphere to set up the tracker properly.

The night started light cloud but waiting you get the clearest night . To the Left Maunganui Bluff to Right Pouto a full 360 degrees of view as the tide was coming in. Enjoy a black night in a new land.

D800 in lower right . End of the night and real low level lighting it sure worked. the very light summer bow with the better part rising.

The Grass trees are called black boys from the burning of the needles creating blacked trunks. the most ambitious night panorama a full 360 view of the landscape i was in at the back of the Mt Dale "peak" not far to the left you fall off the Huge Granite Rock Dome that is Mt Dale. the lights in the middle Perth city on the coast.

My first ever Astro photo was this rock still is a great place to bring beginners.More of an Over view of this rock and a way to hide the ever growing pollution of graffiti on the rock.

The ISO 250 42 sec F2.8 set way down so as not to flood the sky with stars as per But the aim was to rest the polar circle on the top of the rock. no mean feat when the camera is 6" above the ground and you are laying on your side to see the image. the unmistakable cut of a very Iridium Flare135 images on a warm night showing a newbie the marvels of the heavens. i should have painted a bit more but i was otherwise detained but the view i was after some times it best to think out side the usual.

Not the Usual view you have seen from me but just as good.

The lighting is my car lights that lit the car park and the trees.
