I wasn't expected to survive but I did and then needed the support of my sister, my girlfriend and my physiotherapist to learn how to walk again, how to swallow, how to talk again - all these were badly affected by covid. Needless to say I am no longer teaching and I am very fortunate that my sister was able to buy this large house a few years ago where there is space for me to recuperate! Lucky me!
(Oh, and don't worry, we do get to eat the stuff as well!)
