Am sozialsten sind die Schwanzmeisen. Bis zu 14 stück hingen gleichzeitig am Futterklops.
Apropos: wir füllen Sämereien und Haferflocken in einen leeren, aufgeschnittenen Tetra-Pack-Karton (z.B. vo Milch) und füllen das dann mit erwärmten Kokosfett. Vorher wird noch ein Drahthaken mit hinengesteckt. Wenn das wieder fest ist, kann man die Pappe entfernen und den Klotz in einen Baum hängen. Wird sehr gut angenommen.
