Die letzte hier war 1979 und ich kann das noch gut erinnern, weil es mit einem Mal im Haus dunkel wurde, auch ganz unheimlich.

Very interesting image (and [too?] brave-- they say one is not supposed to take an image of the sun with an unprotected camera as it can damage the sensor).

Thanks, micritter. I knew that and the photo is actually just a regular landscape image with our trees and I have taken many photos like this before. The sun in the photo is only a small image. I cropped and edited the photo and this is the result of it.

Die Voegel waren hier auch ganz still waehrend das Sonnenlicht milchig grau erschien. Ich hab Fotos von unserem Garten und Blumen gemacht und das merkwuerdige Licht ist darauf sehr gut zu erkennen. Leider war hier Sonnenfinsternis nur zu 80% zu sehen. Aber an den Orten, wo sie total war, wurde es fuer wenige Minuten ganz dunkel und kalt. Tausende Menschen haben sich entlang der 20 Meilen breiten Bahn versammelt, um das miterleben zu koennen.
