It was fun, but many hours of cutting, painting, glueing and stapling. Only the two outsides are of one Box, the 'hood' was another box and everything is held together by a frame of 1X2s and angle plates. The windshield and the wheels I made out of foam core. It took silver and black paint and a couple of big felt-tip markers. So, I figure the current market value of the car is about $250, haha...I have to count my hours invested, too.

The performance will not be until June, but the little dancers need to practice with the props, so they don't stumble with them.

Als ich mit einer Skizze anfing, hatte ich noch keine Ahnung, ob ich es schaffen wuerde, ein solches Auto fuer die kleinen Ballettelevinnen herzustellen. Aber mit einigem Nachdenken und viel Geduld hat es doch geklappt.
