What I found very amazing all over Germany is the fact that every old house, no matter how crooked the walls are, new windows had been installed. And those windows are much better built than any I have seen here. They are made to tilt into the house at the top, helpful when it rains, because they can still stay open. Or, with one twist of the handle the window opens sideways to the inside.
