Spigelia gentianoides

Found in the Kathy Stiles Freeland Glade in Bibb County, Alabama. This is a rare species of flowering plant found in Alabama & Florida. Based on the closed form of the flower, I think this is S. g. gentianoides, rather than S. g. alabamensis. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spigelia_gentianoides
