Solar eclipse - 21 August 2017

Solar eclipse - 21 August 2017
As seen from Princeton, Kentucky. The sky was actually dark blue. The corona was white and the moon was black as it looks in this photo. We saw Venus and Jupiter in the dark sky.

Robert Swanson, autofantasia, Doerthe, sunlight and 13 other people have particularly liked this photo

Thank you, Nora. It required driving for five hours, but it was an amazing and unforgettable experience.

What a fantastic shot and what a great adventure it must have been for you. What camera did you use?

This photo was taken with my SX-50HS with no filter. The collage of partial eclipse photos were taken with a Thousand Oaks solar filter. There are more photos on Google+.
