According to my insect guide, the adult moths are brown with brown stripes. I think the caterpillars are prettier.

This is quite possible, Ronald !! Sometimes the cataperpiller is prettier than the butterfly and the contrary is also true ! Have a nice week !!

Yes, they are very interesting. They don't so much dance as pose. When the camera approaches, they lift their front and back ends and sit still.
