The Beatles — Please Mr. Postman

These are my favourite 'easy walking' boots which are so comfortable even when one first tries them on. After our walk around town I took them off and photographed them for The Sunday Challenge. All very boring really, then I thought a bit of selective colour wouldn't go amiss.

I found this old key in the garden 30 odd years ago. It doesn't fit any doors, and now hangs in our outside privy (now a garden shed). The colours on the brickwork show what previous owners of the house thought would be suitable in a privy. The walls could be rubbed down and repainted, but I like it like this. :-) PiP 1 shows a rusty hinge on our greenhouse door. PiP 2 shows some rust on garden furniture

I was born 6 days before Christmas in 1941. My Mum didn't ever talk about the birth, she had to have a C-section, and was very unwell apparently. Inside the envelope was a sixpenny piece dated 1941which sadly has been lost over time, but at least I still have my envelope. I keep this in a box from June 2nd 1953, the coronation date of Queen Elizabeth II. The box used to contain chocolate, which also disappeared. ;-)
