After a lovely afternoon yesterday got me moving to cut the front grass I thought with the work on the room shift as well today would be a rest day. The day dawned cloudless so a trip to mother's was on the cards. I decided to started walking and see how far it took me without any sign of back trouble. I was surprised when I arrived at the bottom of the big climb in good fettle. So I tackled it,I was blowing a little when I got to the summit but a short rest and I was ready for the descent,no easier than the climb. I arrived at mother OK and with over three miles hard walking I my legs.
After chatting for an hour or so it was time for home but not fancying the return over the tops I walked a mile and caught the bus to the corner of the street. Enough walking for one day I spent some time taking in the rays before dinner.
Here are three photos from today.
This is Black Combe from the top of the climb.

This is looking back to the north end of the island which is a nature reserve

This is the Isle of Man 40 miles away.

The weather was a little hazy out at sea so it's not very sharp but not bad for a pocket camera.
