A much better day today with plenty of sunshine. The wind is still a little cold but perfect conditions for a walk into town. After calling in at Iceland and placing my food order I strolled to the other end of town to pick up my pipe fodder. My back was behaving just fine and as I wanted to get a little gardening done I flashed the pass and got a ride home meeting and old pal on the bus so the trip passed nicely.
After lunch I decided the front grass was the priority so I gave that a mowing. This was the second cut and it is starting to look more like somebody owns it. My back is still in good fettle so I might seed the rest of my wildflowers later, time for a chew and a brew now. Catch you soon.

Fact of the day
In his first year at Harrow, Winston Churchill was bottom of the whole school.
A couple of Churchill quotes

Bessie Braddock: “Sir, you are drunk.”
Churchill: “Madam, you are ugly. In the morning, I shall be sober.”

Nancy Astor: “Sir, if you were my husband, I would give you poison.”
Churchill: “If I were your husband I would take it.”
