I awoke to silence this morning,yesterdays deluge has finally ceased.When I went to sort the bird feeders out I noticed the flooded part of the garden,which had almost dried out was deep in rain water again. A couple of my fruit bushes have had their feet in water since early last year now and I fear the roots will be rotted.It has got to the point where the rainwater has nowhere left to go.

I have a doorbell that plays different sounds. The one I use is of a large angry sounding dog,it makes me chuckle. Sadly yesterday the dog lost his voice and left in his place a verse of "Sleigh bells ring" I don't know if that is the song title but you know the one I mean.This is now the only sound it will make,all very well for the Christmas period but it does get wearing after a time. So the morning being fine I thought I would have a walk over the bridge to get a new one. B&M was the target shop but they were out of stock. Still I did buy a new tin opener, a pair of silicone kitchen tongs,2 tins of tomatoes and some ginger snaps before returning home and ordering a bell from E BAY, delivery Saturday so I will just have to suffer those sleigh bells ringing until then.
