After the two wettest days I can remember the rain is finally clearing and I can see the sky again.
We have had floods along the promenade and on the mainland. There has been heavy flooding in town and the surrounding districts, some villages were cut off completely. A landslide cause rail delays just outside town and power cuts have been widespread and plentiful.
Checking the weather outlook shows we are do a short dry spell until Sunday so I will be able to get out and about. An early lunch and it will be on with the walking boots for a little hike and I can drag some nice sea air into my lungs.
Tomorrow will be a long 6 mile round walk over the tops to visit my mother if the promised dry spell appears and maybe Saturday the ground will be dry enough to try a tidy up in the mess that was once a garden, parts of which are under water at the moment. I think bacon and egg baps are just the thing for lunch then I will fill my drinks bottle and off into the sunshine.Yep I did say sunshine the big yellow thingy is just peeking shyly from behind decreasing clouds.
