Well this last week has been really good for temperatures - and sun - oh yes we've had some of that yellow stuff too. Well last week, I managed to walk up my driveway with the help of my neighbour. I can't manage to get the rollator out through my porch doorway. So she got it out and I was able to walk up the driveway for the second time this year (the first time was walking with the help of the paramedic on my way to hospital !!!!!). Every year I love walking up the drive because there are so many bunches of primroses lining the fence and this year was no exception...
Of course, Pippin had to accompany me all the way up, he never goes up there unless I'm with him - don't know why!!. I have a fig tree which produces its fruit before its leaves - and this year it seems to have increased its bounty - I'm going to have to get someone to pick some of the fruit soon...
As you can see - Pippin hates having his picture taken and deliberately turns around as soon as he either sees or hears the camera coming out!!! What a strange cat eh? Emily came this afternoon and offered to cut the grass for me - oh bliss, it's been growing so wildly these last couple of weeks. I have a weed I call "Elephant's ears" but I don't know it's real name. All I know is that it spreads everywhere!!!!
There are no plants in the garden now that I have actually planted - they seem to thrive despite the fact I don't do anything for them. Whilst indoors I did plant a couple of geraniums in a small box and it's gone wild. It's decided that it wants to share other pots in the bay window!!!!
So now I have a very colourful bay window. I'm just waiting for the multi coloured petunia flowers to be for sale in the shops so I can fill my trough outside the window and have beautiful colours there too.
I hope you all have a good week followed by a wonderful weekend. We can expect cooler weather by the end of the week - great!!!!! Take care of yourselves and stay safe please.
Good luck with the second dose.
It's Wednesday, and we have 20C here! Really warm for March. Enjoy the sunshine whilst we have it.
Jenny McIntyre club has replied to Bee OrchidThe second dose was okay - I felt it go in, but that's all. However today I have been nursing a sore, achey left arm. I don't think I should have been lying on my left side all night!!! Yes yesterday was wonderfully warm, and even today. I actually had the lounge window open until about 4.30pm. I understand that cold weather is on the way - great (not!)
Jenny McIntyre club has replied to Mickey fezThat elephants ear Inget all the time I consider them a weed.
As usual you have such a beautiful riot of color you lucky duck!
Jenny McIntyre club has replied to GracieYes the elephants ear I also consider a weed - it takes over the whole garden. In fact it's taken over a lot of the grass - I think I'm going to have to spray weed killer over it to try and clear it away.
There'll be more of a riot of colour soon, the cherry blossom is about to come out.
Thank you for the show. I'm so happy you have the energy to go out and enjoy the bounty of early spring! (PS Emily deserves endless hugs!)
