This is an edit of the six minute plus track from the album "Wake Up Everybody". The song was not immediately released in the U.S. as a single even though it was issued in the U.K. where it peaked at number five. Eventually this reached number three on the Billboard Disco chart in 1975.

Dance, disco, soul, whatever badge you give it, Thelma Houston issued "Don't Leave Me This Way" from the 1976 Motown album "Any Way You Like It". Originally meant to be recorded by Diana Ross the single topped Billboard's Top One Hundred, disco and soul charts. This won for Best R&B performance, Female at the 20th annual Grammy Awards.
