Any motive power that has taken to rail. Also the structures like stations, tram halts, level crossings and people. I must also ask that the images are in good taste and you would be happy to show them to your 94 year old Granny. I will monitor the pictures occasionally simply to maintain the variety and quality so no dumping please. I want the group to be a quality celebration of rail transportation.
To showcase quality images from the many Heritage Railways in the UK. Preferably showing a locomotive or an item of rolling stock, however good images of preserved railway buildings also appreciated here.

Shunter, Switcher, Yard Goat. Call it what you will. Lets hear it for the humble shunter, the unsung heroes of the railways. Steam, diesel or electric. Any gauge, any era, worldwide. Only locomotives built specifically for shunting, please. No photos of main line locomotives engaged in shunting operations, there's enough groups for those.
For the purpose of this group a train consists of one locomotive or more, hauling or pushing at least one railway carriage or wagon.
Administrators welcome!
