It's remarkable how quickly this Little Wattlebird chick is growing. This was taken today (27 September), my previous image of it (PiP, also with last week's fence photo) was taken just ten days ago on 17/9. As the bird is looking over the fence, I'm doing something similar and currently moving house. I'm afraid I shall be completely offline for a while after this flying visit. Loud "Cheep, cheep, cheep" noises led me to investigate this banksia tree. There I found two young Brush Wattlebirds, obviously on their first test flights, with an anxious mother fluttering around keeping watch. Best on black (press 'Z').
