A very old and faded sign. Cottee's is an Australian food and beverage brand founded in 1927. I suspect this sign must not date from much later! Wishing everyone a Happy Wednesday Wall.

Seen toward the end of the inland trip earlier this year. It's not often that I see incorrect spelling on signs, but for those with English as a second language, the lower sign should read "vacancy".

If you're contemplating a visit to the outback, this sign at Birdsville welcomes you and lists the monthly events from April to September (it's too hot other times). If you attend any "what's on", though, you are likely to meet crowds (see the PiP for numbers!).

Taken on a cruise up our local river, some years ago. As I noted with my previous image, unfortunately Pauline is not in good health at present. As a result I shall be largely absent from the site and from commenting for a while, though I shall look in when the opportunity presents. HFF and best wishes for the weekend, everyone.

Roadside sign in Central Australia and another image of the Breakaways area in a note. When heading into unknown territory, full preparations are advisable: who knows where we'll be next week? This seems strangely relevant advice with regard to a particular website!

This amused me. Glad I loaded this earlier as I'm not carrying gear to do so. Touring New Zealand and seeing very little grafitti - but many great landscapes.
