chignal st nicholas' claim to fame is this c16 brick font, one of only two extant in england {the other is at potter heigham church, norfolk ). however , this was originally plastered, and only stripped down in 1902. I wonder if future antiquarians will strip plaster from my walls to reveal the "original authenticity" of the breezeblock

c16 chancel, with east window of 1902, all plaster has been stripped from the walls, making the little church dark. there seems to have been a built in sedilia to the south, and a niche on each side of the east window.
