Overtoun Estate, Dumbarton
Overtoun Pond, also known as the Lily Pond, played a significant role in one of the earliest hydro-electric schemes for domestic use. Around 1892, John Campbell White, the occupant of Overtoun House, had a turbine house built to generate electricity for his home. The pond was formed by impounding the Overtoun Burn, and water from the pond was directed to power the turbine located downstream near a waterfall called the Spardie Linn.

The V&A Dundee is a design museum in Dundee, Scotland, which opened on 15 September 2018. It is the first design museum in Scotland and the first Victoria and Albert museum outside London. The V&A Dundee is also the first building in the United Kingdom designed by Kengo Kuma1.
The plan for a V&A museum in Dundee originated at the University of Dundee in 2007 when Georgina Follett (then Dean of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design) suggested it to the University Principal, Sir Alan Langlands. Subsequently, Joan Concannon, the university’s director of external relations, made a 20-minute pitch to Sir Mark Jones, then director of the Victoria and Albert Museum, in which the case for Dundee was made, including its potential as an anchor for the urban regeneration of the waterfront.
A design competition took place in 2010 to decide what the museum would look like. The Japanese architect Kengo Kuma won the competition; his design was inspired by the eastern cliff edges of Scotland.

Situated in idyllic surroundings, Station Park provides activities for all the family. The park boasts attractive gardens, a boating lake, an 18-hole putting green and a one of a kind interactive water feature called Moffatasia, where children can play all day between the splashes and squirts while parents relax and take in the surroundings. The boating lake is a real favourite - there's a wide variety of boats available, from kayaks and rowing boats to swan pedalos and the famous Fernando the Dragon pedalo. Quoted from the Visit Moffat website .
