the Leuven Christmas Market started today, lots of people and lots of Christmas lights with which we are quietly heading towards the end of the year, always I like to take pictures of that because it brings lots of people out to enjoy the cosy atmosphere Historical Town Hall Gruete Mèt in Leive, this is a car-free zone The ancient city hall is Leuven's pride and joy. It is also one of the most famous Gothic town halls in the world. The first stone was laid in 1439. The construction took thirty years and involved three master builders. Here in the foreground you can see the statue of Fons Sapientiae literally means 'source of wisdom'. He has a book in one hand and with the other he is pouring the necessary wisdom into his head. That pouring is also sometimes interpreted differently, supposedly referring to a glass of Stella that makes student life pleasant

We are already at the end of the year and we are back at the thousands of lights which I find magical, you meet everyone in the same place, for me this is the meeting place though, Through wind and rain, sleet and snow showers with a ray of sunshine as if the weather gods don't agree on what weather should be at Christmas, so it's a green Christmas while I had hoped for a white one Merry Christmas

Marian pilgrimage site Scherpenheuvel offers a place of rest and prayer, but also casts a glance at the world and lighting a candle at the Basilica of Scherpenheuvel is also part of it. However, as you can see, I was not the only one but many came from far and we made a nice day of it with this beautiful weather, because tomorrow it will rain again and it will be Wet Wet Wet...

March showers, April grllls with capricious Spring weather

the weather had not been so good for the past weeks and months our pets are at their best like Misty who welcomes me every time, actually I wanted to show Spring but the daffodils and tulips were not blooming so nicely this time. Misty, the house cat knows very well that pizza is made on Wednesdays. She prefers ham, of course, and so she comes to check on the progress of that pizza in the making and especially the ham on the pizza, she makes it clear that she is here and that the time has come to start that tasty pizza with ham Happy Easter to you

After this Red glow a lot of rain fell from the sky, from where the rain came, we don't know, it kept raining until flooding was even spotted everywhere, Belgium is only a handkerchief size, that handkerchief was so wet

In my backyard I can admire the Skyline of Vrebos, of course it's not the Skyline of New York, but it's a Skyline, the highest point in Flemish~Brabant between the woods, here it is always colder than elsewhere, this year there was snow, even all at once, a snow carpet across Belgium, a snowfall of 9 cm thick, enough for snow fun and making snowman and sliding down a mountain with the sledge, the snow stayed for a few days, I didn't even have to go to the Ardennes for a bit of snow fun, get on the field and slide down Bears good huh for repeat performance
