Horseplay: Donkey ride

31 Aug 2014 4 10 408
Inspired by The Sunday Challenge "things that go together, I shot the picture that illustrates the relationship between me and my wife. In Chinese astrology I'm a horse, and my wife is a monkey. But of course my alter ego is a donkey who carries all the shopping bags home and is the ass in the house to blame =D However, monkey and donkey get along surprisingly well because donkey sometimes turns into a horse... =)

Point and click...

...for the monkey business! In 2010 I first time participated onto online photography group where the goal was to take and upload one picture per every day during a year. Because one very likely desperately needs to find out some subjects to photograph, I spent almost every Saturday on shooting soft toys, and used them to practice home studio photography and editing. If you point your mouse over the picture, you will see there notes of the same image, and if you click on one of those note images, you will get some of the old monkey business pictures that I have uploaded here on Ipernity. With this picture I also participate to The Sunday Challenge of "advertisement posters". I used notes for deliberate annoyance. This is kind of a private joke of mine to illustrate how Web advertisements are nowadays "polluting" almost every Web site. All kinds of pop-up notices are flashing all over the page when we open one. So, this is kind of SPAM advertising my own photography.

Odd pair

Sunday morning, and time to try something new. Picture I took on Friday evening. It was heavily underexposed but thanks to bump mapping tip .t.a.o.n. gave me, I managed to rescue something out of this.

Frame (v. framed, fram·ing, frames)

At that time (2010) this was a critique against people saying one should not add post processed frames to pictures =D So, if in the rules of a photography group it is said one should not use frames, then is this allowed? =P
