Picture taken in 2011. In the end of year 2011 there was a great winter storm, which cut down the 100 year old mighty spruces in local town's park. The rest of them got cut down by the city workers, and tree stumps soon removed. I miss those tall spruces. EDIT: That storm caused much damage. Also a lot of forest fell down. Forest owners had to clear the damage fast, which then affected strongly on wood price: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclone_Dagmar

Picture taken in 2010 For '10-Week Picture Projects: Trees', I picked this one for a start. In 2010 I actively started to post pictures to social media, and participate into photography groups. Very soon trees turned out to be my favorite subject. This somewhat a hundred year old maple tree, and this point of view on it, is especially dear to me. Walking under that tree, and looking up to it is always almost a sacred moment.

...fingers. During this week I will try some unedited monochromatic excursions, where camera is set for black and white mode, and perhaps only some good old "analog methods" used. Here I took the shot between my sunlit fingers to get bright and soft vignetting.
