My garden snowdrops are looking good, and now the daffodils are in bloom! (PiP)

The old chicken houses and the new Restaurant at The Newt in Somerset. Unfortunately I can't visit Ipernity as often as I would like at the moment, so visits and comments in your galleries and replies to comments in mine, may be a case of 'catch up' for a couple of weeks. Another picture I took at the garden centre. I thought the early blossom against the backdrop of deciduous trees looked lovely on a very cold day!

Good attention to detail in The Newt's vegetable garden. As you can see in the PiP, the cloche mimics the shape of the fruit cages.

The River Stour runs through the village and this scene is between the church and the village shop. The name Fontmell derives from a Celtic river-name meaning 'spring by the bare hill', and Magna—meaning great—distinguishes this settlement from Fontmell Parva (parva meaning small).
