this is about 1/300th of the painting yes, the painting is large, but this area isn't that big at all yet has such incredible detail! does anyone know who the painter is? (I do, just wondering if we have any painting aficionados out there.)

I don't normally post images of paintings from galleries, but this very small part of a larger work seemed to be more in the style of found art, and so here it is. One could easily miss this corner of the painting and I think it's worth looking at. Part of the painting "Saint Michael Triumphs Over the Devil" 1468, by Bartolomé Bermejo, hanging in The National Gallery, London.

SSC Hard to find a spot on my walls without something by my mother. The flower painting here is hers. The photo is by lawatt (on flickr) - I purchased it from her. In the dark on the top shelf is a cutout by my daughter. This was hard to pick. We have tons of art everywhere in our house. This is the neatest place - most is a mish mash, but very viewable to me!
