- the tree is the same - used it as a Seasonal Tree this year - instead of packing it up and hauling it out again - will certainly do again next year - most ornaments are hand-made [not by me] - but, I did collect the seashells and Sand Dollars - cracked open the Walnuts .. matching the halves, then gilding them - any needle-work done by other hands - if you look closely, there are some old fashioned shade pulls - guess my Mom had them - now, the tree skirt [ with a white feather that fell ] - ankle length skirt ..green/white satin embroidered with glitz located in Florida at a Mosque Thrift Store - red with coins on top of it is a belly dancer hip belt - the more glitz and jingle the better [ at least that is what our Dance Troupe thought ] 3 PiP - the collage on the right side has up close photos of the ornaments - © All Rights Reserved -- EXPLORE --

all decorations are handmade.. made by nature .. sand dollars, sea shells, angels, bears, origami Long Life Cranes, gilded walnuts, lace fans, cross-stitch .. most are at least 20 years old .. the only thing not handmade are the ribbon streamers .. © All rights reserved

in Winston-Salem, NC .. this is in the Buena VIsta section .. mostly old Georgian style architecture .. some are for sale ! how much, aw, just a million & change .. but, there are some about half that amount .. this has always been a beautiful area to drive through .. winding roads revealing beautiful homes as well as landscaping that someone besides the owner must take care of .. my Dad used to take us on Sunday drives .. going through areas like this, he called it 'rubbernecking' ! A Lyrical Connection . Christmas Dinner - ..for Senior Orphans was held Dec. 6 th -2009 ..all Seniors were served dinner, dessert & beverages by volunteers from the community ..a local school of dance provided entertainment "Senior Orphans of Polk County was founded over twenty-five years ago to assist those less fortunate. The idea came from attending an organizational meeting of service programs in Polk County. The original goal was to help local, indigent seniors living with no family support and monthly incomes of $400 or less. Today that amount has increased to include those with monthly incomes of $600 or less.
