of this year - three layers of beauty, Kwanso Daylily - has bloomed continuously since 28 June to 24 July - always one new flower - but usually in clusters - a real trooper - almost drought conditions - no bother - welcome raindrops, tho, are a delight - for her and me - just keep the camera dry - and - shoot on ! - the way I feel pre-coffee in the morning - fascinating process, this unfolding is - almost like stretching when one arises ! - Daylily " Kwanso " a triple layer - still unfolding - so, to me that makes this one "more than a one day lasting Daylily" - shades of orange - light to darker (c) All Rights Reserved

a triple decker day lily .. taken after supper this evening - still beautiful - think the stamens / pistil are in the center - but small petals are around them - at least that is how I see it - ID found in Dave's Garden website .. this is the 4th variety in the Garden of Surprises - my inherited Garden - documenting daily so I'll know more - what to expect next year - (c) All Rights Reserved ^^ all photos are signed / usually cropped / that's it ^^ ^^ if different .........
